Da mich die Rawedge Applikation nicht loslässt habe ich als erstes ein neues Eingangswillkommensschild gewerkelt, das ich auf einen kleinen Canvasrahmen aufgetackert habe und nun unsere Gäste begrüsst.
Since the rawedge application still doesn't let me go, the first thing I made was this little welcome sign, which I stapled onto a canvas frame, and which now welcomes our guests at the door.
Vor einiger Zeit hatte ichVögel nach dem Gratismuster von Joel Dewberry (
hier zu finden) genäht und diese zwei sind bei mir geblieben. Der Grüne ist mein ständiger Begleiter beim Nähen und wird ziemlich gepieckst.Smile.
A while ago I did sew birds after a free pattern from Joel Dewberry ( to find here) and those two were the ones which never left house. The green one is always by my side when I am sewing and gets pricked very much.Smile.
Da ich das Muster absolut toll finde mussten also ein paar neue her. Zuerst habe ich aber aus meinem eher blassen Blauen eine Schönheit gezaubert. Finde ich jedenfalls, lol!
As I find the pattern absolutely great it was time to sew some new ones. But first I turned my more pale blue bird into a beauty. I think, at least, lol!

Die Vögel sind in der Originalgrösse super als Nadelkissen und sonst als Deko, aber ich wollte gerne kleine haben, die man mit Lavendel füllen kann, oder an einen Ast hängen, etc... Also hab ich das Muster verkleinert.
The birds in original size are great as pincushions and just as decoration, but I wanted to have some small ones which I can fill with lavender or hang on a branche. So I reduced the size of the pattern.

Und endlich habe ich auch ein paar Weihnachtsvögel genäht, hier noch ohne Flügel...
And finally I did sew some christmasbirds, here still without wings....

Und weil es so viel Spass gemacht hat und der Wind in der letzten Zeit immer die Balkontüre zugeschmettert hat, musste noch ein Türstopper her. Dafür habe ich das Muster ziemlich vergrössert.
And because I had so much fun sewing them and during the last days the wind always closed the balcony door , I had to sew a doorstopper. For this I increased the size quite a bit.
Ich nahm dazu einen Homedekorstoff von IKEA und fügte beim stopfen am Schluss eine kleine Tüte Vogelsand in den Bauch, damit der Vogel auch richtig schwer wird.
I did use a homedeco fabric from IKEA and added to the filling a little bag with birdsand , so the birdie is quite heavy.

Ein weiteres Ufo ist ist dank dem Hop fertig geworden und hat schon ein neues Plätzchen gefunden.
Die Stickerei (
von hier) hatte ich schon lange begonnen und nun ist dieser Miniquilt daraus entstanden.
Thanks to the hop another ufo is finished and has already found a new place. The stitchery (from here) I started a while ago and now it is finally a miniquilt.

Ich bin eine Leseratte und auf Pinterest hatte ich mal bestickte Filzbuchzeichen gesehen. Das war nun die Gelegenheit es auszupobieren!
I am a bookworm and on pinterest I once saw stitched bookmarks made with felt. So this was the occasion to try it out.

| Mit dem Elastik und der Kartoneinlage habe ich nun ganz tolle Buchzeichen, die nicht mehr rausfallen. With the elastic band and the carton inside I have now great bookmarks which stay in place |
Der erste Versuch war mir aber doch ein bisschen zu gross.

Ich bin gerade am lesen vom Buch von Ann Voskamp: a1000 gifts -worin es ums Danken geht.
So wollte ich mir etwas machen, damit ich ein Notizbuch griffbereit habe um jeden Tag die Dinge , für die ich dankbar bin, aufschreiben zu können.
At the moment I am reading the book by Ann Voskamp: a 1000 gifts - about thankfulness. And so I wanted to make something for me where I can have my notebook ready to write into the things I am thankful for everyday.

Und hier noch mein letztes Projekt, das ich fertigstellen konnte: mein Vogelbaum!
And this is my last project which I managed to finish: my bird tree!
Ich habe den Baum for gut 2 Jahren gezeichnet, als ich den Hochzeitsquilt für unseren Sohn gemacht habe. Und seither hatte ich schon immer den Wunsch diesen Baum für mich selber und grösser als im Quilt zu sticken. Und das ist dabei herausgekommen:
