the Hexie-queen bloghop is up - and it is my day today!

Welcome to my little blog! Even though I only have made the grandma's flowergardenquilt until now (see yesterdays posting) I am a hexie-lover and so I am very happy to be part of this hop! It was also a great work to take with me on our holidays.

Of course a BIG Thank You to Mme Samm und Debby  for their great cheerleading! It is so much fun to be part of these hops.

Und nun also zu meinen Kreationen:  And now to my creations:
I just adore big hexies! (here with 2,5 inch side length). Therefore I have cut the free BOM stitcheries from Gail Pan into hexagons and made a big hexie tabletopper out of it.
The back is at the same time also the binding and forms this star with those roundings. I worked it after the new method I just learned which is called Atarashii.
Schneemaenner schmelzen einfach mein Herz, smile!
Ob sie doch noch einen Mund brauchen?
The leftover stitcheryblock I used for this little mugrug with woolfelt. Snowmen just melt my heart, smile!
Do they need a mouth?
.
The next hexies I sewed together , lined them with woolfelt and embroidered them ......
just love thes beads around...
Actually this blue bag was my first try but I didn't take pictures from beginning. It is smaller though but I really do love it.
However, this tabletopper  is my personal favourite.
Ich nenne es "Schmetterling in meinem Garten".
I call it "butterfly in my garden".
Einfach weiterklicken...
I still have lots of ideas but now I am really curious what my fellow sewers have created. Just keep on clicking....

Liebe Martina,

Martina. What a clever idea to add the embroidery to your hexies (or did you add hexie to your embroidery?) Your work is beautiful and I especially like the felt backs on those hexies. I have some felt in my stash that has been begging to be used and now I think I have something clever to do with it. Thanks so much for showing us all those beautiful things.

Martina. I just typed a LONG comment and "poof", it went into cyberspace, lost. I love everything you did today. The felt backed hexies are beautiful and a clever idea that I'm going to borrow. May I? And the embroideries with the hexies - a perfect pairing. Thanks for sharing everything.
