Pin it.. Blog hop - start and my day too!

Willkommen zum Pin it Blog Hop!
Welcome to the pin it blog hop! Today ( tuesday) is the first day and it's my day too.
A huge thank you to Mme Samm und Kristen from Meadowbrook for cheering us up on this one.

Als erstes moechte ich euch Eulalia vorstellen.
First I would like to present to you Eulalia.
This would probably be her favourite place if she would not have to sit on my sewing desk, smile!
She holds everything I need: pins, scissors and needles. At the bottom filled with rice she always stands strong and ready for her "mission"! (The pattern is from the book: patch happy)

For my wool projects in work I needed a pracitcal pincushion with a little storage space.
So I  repurposed an empty teabox.
I pasted some fabric on a (cover size) cardboard  piece, sewed a pincushion , attached it with a few stitches onto the covered cardboard and finally pasted it onto the cover of the teabox. Before this  I also used some washii tape around the cover border.
Then the teabox got a cover out of felt. On to the back I sewed a little pocket to store the needles.

On the front a sheep romps on green pastures. Probably because at the moment psalm 23 is touching my heart in a special way.

Let's be inspired every day
And a little glimpse at the pincushions which I use daily , depending on where I am sewing....
Herzlichen Dank fuers hereinschauen.
Thank you very much for visiting. Have fun hopping to my fellow sewers of this day!

Martina. I think Eulalia is very cute and the front pocket is very clever. I am learning a lot about what pincushions can do for me other than hold pins! Your tea box converted to project holder gives me an idea for my English Paper Piecing and I'm going to look for some little tin box around my house (I always save them). And I love Psalm 23 also - timeless comfort and reassurance for everyone. Thanks for sharing today.

What amazing pin cushions! I love the bird pincushion that holds everything you need! Then the repurposed teabox is a wonderful idea. I love Psalm 23 and the sheep is perfect. I have always had a passion for Psalm 23. I grew up on a farm and each of my two brothers raised sheep. I actually have the pattern and fabric for a "sheep quilt" for one of them. After I bought the things to make the quilt, that brother's wife became a pastor. So, if I ever it get it done for them, it will really be a perfect gift. Thanks for participating and sharing your amazing creativity.
